I have been trying to get answers everywhere and cannot seem to find any. Did you apply for the residence permit there, or is there a separate application for the just digital nomad?

Hi, thanks for this. I made an appointment at my local consulate in the US, and they canceled it without providing any other information. I reached out to a few other consulates to try and get some answers, and they said that if I cannot get an appointment (which I could not before I intended to leave because they are booked and my office won't respond), I can apply for a residence permit when I arrive in Greece. This is in section B.16 of their code, and as of April, they said they were expecting in-country applicants. I am struggling to clarify this process because everything I am reading says I need a visa to apply for the residence permit, but the embassy and Greek documents say something different. I am also worried about the length of time a permit might take. I would like to travel home for the holidays but it will be after my 90 days and I'm not sure if I can leave and re-enter Greece with the temporary card/proof of submission. Any insight helps!

Hi Madison. Are you currently working with an immigration lawyer who is in Greece? It sounds like you really need one as this is becoming a more complex issue than what most of us could advise you on.
