Honestly not sure how I feel about AI screening job applications. I mean, yeah it speeds things up, but isn’t there a risk that good candidates get tossed just because they didn’t use the right keywords? Had a buddy rejected before a human even looked at his résumé.

Wait, seriously?? So like, who actually sees your application first—an algorithm or a recruiter? And can you even know if you were filtered by AI? That’s kinda scary if you're applying for something important.

Most large companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to do the initial filtering. These tools scan résumés for role-specific keywords and rank them accordingly. If your résumé isn’t optimized, it may never make it to a recruiter’s desk. That’s why tailoring your application for each job is critical.

🤖 AI be saving time but also feels kinda robotic lol. Like, where’s the human touch?? 🧍‍♂️

It's just tools. How you use them matters more.
Absolutely. The key isn’t whether AI is used, but whether it’s implemented ethically and transparently. There needs to be oversight, audit trails, and mechanisms for candidates to appeal or understand automated decisions. Otherwise, we risk systemic bias being automated.

Problem is no one tells you why you got rejected. With AI, it's even worse. You don’t even get feedback, just a silent fail. Makes it impossible to improve or adjust.

Agree 100%. Been hiring for 15+ years and now I get flooded with candidates because AI made it too easy to mass apply. But on the flip side, I’ve also seen top-tier talent disappear from the pool due to over-filtering. It's a balance that still needs fine-tuning.
